Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to ensure the smooth operation of accounting activities, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and support the business through accurate financial reporting and effective process management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities

  • Oversee all accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records

  • Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and legislation

  • Deliver regular financial and management reports for internal stakeholders and group reporting purposes

  • Take responsibility for the company's tax agenda, including VAT, corporate income tax, road tax, and other applicable taxes

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the optimization of accounting procedures and controls

  • Prepare statutory and statistical reports while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timely submission

Personality requirements and skills

  • Previous experience in a senior accounting position with responsibility for accounting, tax, and financial processes

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting requirements

  • Practical experience with IFRS reporting standards

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to cooperate across different teams
