We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Internal Accountant to manage the complete in-house accounting agenda for multiple Slovak entities for our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, tax coordination, budgeting support, and payroll oversight, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

1. Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management

  • Review and verify the recording and categorization of daily financial transactions

  • Prepare invoices for group companies, including:

    • Matching costs for all services rendered against billing

    • Maintaining accounts receivable

  • Prepare payment proposals for management approval and maintain accounts payable

  • Review bank reconciliations and general ledger entries; identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy

2. Taxation

  • Calculate taxes owed and support the development of legally compliant tax optimization strategies

  • Cooperate with external accountants and advisors on all tax filings and statutory obligations

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic decision-making

4. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including:

    • Profit and Loss Statements

    • Balance Sheets

    • Cash Flow Forecasts

5. Payroll & Expense Management

  • Oversee or process payroll, including calculation of wages, allowances, deductions, and bonuses

  • Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with local regulations

Osobnostné predpoklady a zručnosti

  • Proven experience in an internal or in-house accounting role

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Slovak accounting/tax regulations

  • Experience working with multiple legal entities at once

  • Experience with accounting software and MS Excel

  • High level of accuracy, responsibility, and confidentiality

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with management and external partners

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Discretion and responsibility when handling sensitive data
